About the journal
A daily journal of things worth being thankful for — written down before they slip away.
Gratituing started with a simple observation: I kept noticing good things and then letting them evaporate. A kind word, a friend's perfectly timed call, the way afternoon light lands on the kitchen table — noticed, appreciated, gone by dinner. So I started writing them down. That's the whole origin story: a gratitude habit that outgrew the notebook.
Each entry is one thing I'm grateful for, given the attention it deserves. Not a highlight reel, and definitely not a lecture — just daily proof that if you go looking for something to be thankful for, you'll embarrass yourself with how much you find. Some entries are light. Some are heavier than they look. The best ones are both.
Gratitude, practiced daily, stops being a feeling and starts being a way of seeing.
As for the name — yes, I made it up. Gratitude was already taken, and besides, I wanted a verb: something you do, not just something you feel. A new entry appears every day, written the way thanks ought to be given — promptly, specifically, and with a smile. And if an entry ever nudges you to send someone a ten-second "thinking of you" text, this journal has done its job.
